From March to November 2025, Uzbekistan is participating for the first time in a series of international tourism film festivals under the CIFFT framework. The first stage took place in Maniwa, Japan, from March 17 to 19, 2025.

Over the years, the festival has been held in various locations across Japan, including Lake Akan, Shiga, Yoron Island, and Kyoto. It brings together filmmakers, tourism professionals, and industry experts to celebrate outstanding achievements in tourism filmmaking.

This year’s festival in Japan marks the first stage of the CIFFT Circuit 2025, a global competition that honors the best tourism films of the year. In past years, CIFFT Circuit has awarded major tourism brands such as Switzerland Tourism, Go Türkiye, Azerbaijan Airlines, Visit Qatar, Singapore Tourism Board, and Tourism Australia.

Participating in the festival for the first time, Uzbekistan achieved remarkable success. A promotional video about the Fergana region received a special award for Best Destination Presentation. The film "Autumn in Uzbekistan" secured second place in the "Country Promotion" category, while the video "UNWTO in Samarkand" won second place in the "Asia" category.

The films were developed in collaboration with the British studio Dars Films. A total of 1,132 entries were submitted to the festival. The full list of results can be found at https://jwtff.world/archives/5556.
