Uzbekistan's tourism potential presented in Saint-Petersburg, Russia

As part of the "Year of Tourism in Uzbekistan," the next program of the "road show" events taking place in various cities of the Russian Federation continued in Saint-Petersburg.

The event was attended by a delegation headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee, Jamshid Abdusalamov, representatives of the tourism industry of Uzbekistan and Russia, including more than 70 travel companies.

During the event, presentations highlighting Uzbekistan's tourism potential were given, and information about the tourism products, routes, and newly introduced airline services between cities in Russia and Uzbekistan was shared by Uzbek tour operators, hotels, and other industry representatives.

Additionally, at the end of the events, participants were introduced to Uzbekistan's rich culture and national dishes through performances of traditional music, songs, and dances, as well as the distribution of Uzbek national cuisine.

During negotiations held with Russian officials as part of the "road show," proposals were made to develop cultural and historical tourism between the two countries, collaborate on cultural events and travel routes, organize advertising and PR campaigns, and conduct bilateral studies in the fields of hotel business and transportation services.

The event was also attended by Abdurakhmon Makhmudov, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Saint-Petersburg and Evgeniy Pankevich, Chairman of the Saint-Petersburg Committee for the Development of Tourism.
