The village of Chodak, located in the Pap district of the Namangan region, has been awarded the status of "Tourist Village".
The event held in the village of Chodak was attended by Sardar Niyazov, Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee, Botir Nuritdinov, Deputy Hakim of the region, district deputy hakims, and community representatives.
Guests visited several functioning recreation centers and guesthouses in the area.
During the event, a new modern guesthouse built in the region was inaugurated as a gift for the celebration.
Currently, as part of the initiatives to grant the status of "Tourist Village" to Chodak, which has high tourist potential, there are 300 family guesthouses, four wellness complexes, three children’s camps, two hostels, one campsite, 30 gastronomic tourism facilities, four suspension bridges each 300 meters long, and one 50-meter-long glass suspension bridge, as well as an artificial waterfall and extreme routes on a 400-meter-long aerial cableway, alongside more than a hundred ecotourism sites. As a result, over 1,500 local residents have been provided with jobs.
In accordance with the President’s directives during his visit to the Namangan region in February 2021, and based on the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from April 28, 2021, aimed at the comprehensive socio-economic development of the village of Chodak, 257 projects are being implemented in the region.
