An excellent addition to the excursion program in Samarkand is a wine tasting of one of the oldest in Uzbekistan Samarkand plant named after M.A. Khovrenko.
The Wine Museum of Winemaking and Tasting room are located in a historic building of the late 19th century, in the house of the Russian merchant Filatov, the founder of the first distillery, opened here in 1868.
