According to the Presidential Decree “On Measures for the High-Level Organization of the International Contemporary Art Biennale” dated August 21 of this year, within the framework of the first Bukhara Biennale, 14 cultural heritage sites will be transformed into a creative cluster that integrates exhibitions and events, education and research, creativity, and production.
For the first time in the country’s history, this art forum will showcase more than 70 contemporary projects, each developed in collaboration with local artisans and artists from Central Asia and around the world.
In particular, renowned creatives will produce over 60 art objects, including installations, which will be used to artistically enhance the Biennale’s venues and later presented at exhibitions worldwide.
Additionally, a documentary film about the Bukhara Biennale will be produced to widely promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
Every visitor participating in the series of events will gain deeper insights into the rich cultural heritage, values, and ancient cities of Uzbekistan, further enhancing international interest in our country.
