Today, March 14th, at the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport, the first direct flight of the Polish airline “LOT Polish Airlines” on the Warsaw-Tashkent-Warsaw route was welcomed.

The event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee Sardor Niyazov, CEO of “LOT Polish Airlines” Michal Fijol, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev, Ambassador of Poland to Uzbekistan Radoslaw Gruk, leadership of the Ministries of Transport and Culture, as well as bloggers and media representatives from both countries.

“The launch of direct flights between Warsaw and Tashkent by ‘LOT Polish Airlines’ is not only an important milestone in aviation but also a wonderful opportunity for the development of tourism and cultural exchange between Poland and Uzbekistan,” said Sardar Niyazov.

“Today another route of ‘LOT Polish Airlines’ has opened. Uzbekistan is one of the most interesting countries in the world and attracts tourists from Poland and Europe with various interesting offers. I am confident that the opportunity to reach the heart of Central Asia aboard our aircraft will be a catalyst for further development of tourism and economic cooperation between Poland and Uzbekistan,” said Michal Fijol.

After the ceremony welcoming the first flight, the Tourism Committee will organize a “City-tour” for the foreign delegation to visit the attractions of Tashkent and prepare content about our tourist sites by international bloggers and media representatives.

On the second day of the visit, the Committee will organize a one-day press tour for Polish tour operators, bloggers, and media representatives to familiarize themselves with the changes and updates in the field of tourism using the example of the Samarkand region, with the aim of launching the promotional campaign “Samarkand – the tourist gateway to the New Uzbekistan” in Poland. For information, flights on the Warsaw-Tashkent-Warsaw route are planned to be carried out three times a week in March and four times a week starting in April.

These flights will positively affect the exchange of tourists between Uzbekistan and European countries. Flight tickets can be purchased on the official website of the airline lot.com, as well as at ticket offices and travel agencies.
