Madina Kasimbaeva is one of the famous craftswomen of the republic who contribute to the development of traditional embroidery art. She has been embroidering for 24 years and is a recipient of the Medal of Glory. Since 2007, Madina Kasimbaeva has been a member of the Hunarmand association, and since 2016 she joined the Association of Artists, Art Critics and Folk Craftsmen of Uzbekistan. To this day, she remains the only female embroiderer continuing the traditions of Tashkent embroidery.
The works of a talented artisan arouse interest and are appreciated by local and foreign art lovers as an example of national art. In 2008, Madina Kasimbaeva became the winner of the Design and Fashion week and the International Podium 2008 competition. She has successfully taken part in more than 100 international exhibitions and competitions. From 2016 to 2019, the craftswoman regularly participated in the International Festival "Rajasthan Heritage Week" (India) and the International Fair "International Folk Art Market" (Santa Fe, USA). In 2023, Madina Kasimbaeva won the Grand Prix of the largest exhibition in Central Asia. Her personal exhibition “The collar of the sky or the story of an embroiderer” was held from March 8 to May 5, 2024 in Riga, Latvia. Her creative works are stored not only in Uzbekistan, but also in private collections in Australia, Great Britain, Germany India, USA, Turkey, France and the CIS countries. Since 2023, two chapans embroidered by the craftswoman have been on display in the permanent exhibition of the British Museum.
Madina Kasimbaeva founded her own school of masters and created the Suzani by Kasimbaeva brand. Over the years, she has trained more than 500 students and provided employment to over 40 women. Her organization, activity and initiative allowed her to gain respect among artisans and people.
