The winners of the XIII Tashkent International Film Festival were awarded in Tashkent

October 3, 2021, the recently opened Renaissance Hall Cinema hall hosted the closing ceremony of the XIII Tashkent International Film Festival “Pearl of the Silk Road", which started on September 28.

At the beginning of the ceremony, a video was presented, in which the events of the film festival, creative meetings, major premieres, reception of foreign delegations and trips to the regions were presented.

At the closing ceremony, the winners of the “Cinema in 5 Days" competition were awarded. In particular, the Grand Prix award for the best short film went to the young director Sherzod Nazarov for the film "On the Silk Road". The award was presented to the winners by French director and producer Luc Besson.

At the Tashkent International Film Festival, the winners in the nominations “For the best actor” - Tursunboy Pirzhonov, “For the best actress” - Madina Makhmudova and others were awarded.

The winners of the review competition of young cinematographers were also determined. On stage, they were presented with a special statuette and memorable gifts of the XIII Tashkent International Film Festival.

Among the winners are Belarusian participants Marina Poddubnaya ("Best actress") and director Mitri Semenov (”Best Director").

The ceremony ended with colorful performances by famous foreign and Uzbek pop stars.

Recall that the Tashkent Film Festival brought together the best representatives of the domestic and foreign film industry.

Nikita Mikhalkov, Timur Bekmambetov, Luc Besson, Steven Seagal, Gerard Depardieu, Pavel Priluchny, Ravshana Kurkova, Valdis Pelsh, Mithun Chakraborty and other stars came as guests of honor.

Within the framework of the festival, creative meetings were held throughout Uzbekistan, lectures, master classes, the opening of the VGIK branch in Tashkent and six cinemas in the republic, as well as Weeks of documentaries and feature films.
