With the arrival of spring, Uzbekistan begins to prepare for the most important and ancient holiday of the awakening of nature - Nowruz. The holiday falls on March 21 - the day of the vernal equinox. It is on this day, when day and night become equal, that a new solar cycle begins, a new astronomical year and the time for the awakening of nature.
The main festive festivities are planned to be held in the “Yangi O‘zbekiston” and “Navruz” parks of culture and recreation.
In addition, holidays in honor of Nowruz will be held in the following locations:
- Bektemir district: Coca-Cola Garden - March 19;
- Uchtepa district: “Eco Park Seoul” - March 19;
- Shaykhontokhur district: Tashkent City Park - March 19-23;
- Yunusabad district: territory of “Uzexpocenter” - March 20;
- Mirabad district: Furkat culture and recreation park - March 21-24;
- Mirzo Ulugbek district: “Central Park of Culture and Leisure” (formerly Telman Park) - March 21-24;
- Sergeli district: Central Square (landmark: khokimiyat of Sergeli district) - March 21;
- Almazar district: Yoshlik town, Beruniy square -March 21;
- Yakkasaray district: entertainment centers “Seoul Moon” and “Next” - March 21-24;
- Yangikhayot district: shopping complex “Tashkent Index” - March 21-24;
- Yashnabad district: Ashgabat park - March 21-24;
- Chilanzar district: Gafur Gulam Park - March 21-24.
